Parent Information

Peoria Regional Learning Center is an alternative learning opportunity for students currently enrolled in a high school in Peoria county.

Student Attendance Policy
Students are allowed 9 days (40.5 hours) of absences per semester.

A student may make up time for tardies or missing class (sleeping, out of classroom, etc.) - the same day or next; otherwise it will be counted towards the 9 days (40.5 hrs.).

Additionally, if a student has more than 5 tardies, or misses more than 10 class periods of one class, may result in students being withdrawn from the class with no credit received

Please see our full attendance policy in the Student Handbook on page 13.

Edgenuity Classes and Grades at PRLC

If you have any questions about our online classes - whether it is about how your student can login or what grade your student is earning - please contact tvonrohr@peoriaregional.com

The student login page for Edgenuity is: learn.education2020.com.

When your student logs in, together you can see their progress easily. It is color coded.

  • Red bar means the student is behind schedule to complete classwork for the semester.

  • Blue bar means the student is right on track at this moment.

  • Green bar means the student is ahead of schedule.

There are two important ways we look at online grades at PRLC:  Overall Grade and Actual Grade.

  • Overall Grade reflects the average grades received on assignments by your student.

  • Actual Grade reflects the above weighted with their progress.

    • If your student is behind, showing Red in the progress bar, the Actual Grade will be lower than the Overall Grade.

    • Actual Grade is used for progress reports and report cards because it is the most accurate.
